Broker FAQ

Are you taking a cut of my commission?+

No. MainStreet does not take success fees, referral splits, or per-listing charges. Commission stays 100% with you. The platform is free for brokers in 2026.

Will buyers go around me to the seller?+

No. The seller's identity stays anonymous behind your brokerage on every listing until your standard NDA is signed. All buyer inquiries route to you.

How does this differ from BizBuySell?+

BizBuySell is a paid classifieds site — pay-per-listing with no buyer screening. MainStreet is a curated marketplace: free distribution, mandatory Buyer Passport, AI-generated CIMs, and structured deal rooms. Different model, different audience.

Do I have to use your CIM tool?+

No. Use your own CIM. Use ours. Or do both. The CIM generator is free if you want a baseline draft to edit, but it's optional. Same with the deal-room — opt in, not required.

What about confidentiality?+

Anonymized teasers by default. Business name, exact address, and seller identity are gated behind your NDA. Buyers must complete the Buyer Passport (with optional Plaid POF) before requesting CIM access.

Can I bulk-import existing listings?+

Yes. Submit a CSV or share access to your current listing site and we'll pull them in for you. Full broker onboarding takes 30–45 minutes.
